Position Specific Description

Our Distribution Operations Department is seeking a Sr Production Lead to join their team at the Toledo Blade Service Center.  

Job Overview

Employees in this role are tasked with managing the daily operations of the service center, ensuring safety leadership, and efficient resource allocation. This role involves communicating safety messages and adhering to distribution construction standards while supervising field activities and addressing out-of-service trouble tickets. Employee in this job are still responsible for the duties and responsibilities of the Entry Level PL.  


In addition, employees in this role are vital in shaping the service center's operations by providing mentorship and guidance, enhancing team efficiency and operational best practices. This role demands strong leadership and decision-making capabilities, especially in safety, compliance, and service restoration, while operating with autonomy and strategic insight. The Senior Production Lead is responsible for facilitating effective communication, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high performance standards within the power delivery organization. As a key representative, this role significantly contributes to influencing strategic outcomes and upholding the company's operational objectives. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as a relief for Operations Supervisors and ensure seamless service center operations that align with organizational objectives
  • Exhibit a high bias for action in safety, discipline, and service restoration while operating autonomously to achieve organizational goals
  • Lead safety initiatives and conduct audits to enforce compliance with protocols across the service center
  • Guide new Production Leads in service center operations and designers (service planner engineers) in construction standards to enhance operational efficiency and standards adherence
  • Oversee and report on performance metrics, ensuring accountability and maintenance of high standards
  • Develop strategic plans and recommend solutions to enhance service reliability and efficiency
  • Sustain effective communication within the team and across departments to ensure integrated service delivery
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and operational performance
  • Represent the organization within the power delivery sector, reflecting leadership capability and strategic coherence
  • Stay up-to-date and proficient with emerging technologies and tools relevant to the service center operations
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


•  Education: High School Grad / GED
•  Education: Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
•  Experience: 4+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Technical Certificate Program
  • Leadership: 1+ years
