Job Overview
This position will be responsible for architecting, designing, and collaboratively working with the team to execute the proposed solution and bring it to fruition. You will be responsible for the system reliability, availability, security, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will be just as passionate about working with great teams as they are about building great software and will constantly be looking for ways to drive engagement, quality, and improve outcomes.
Job Duties
Own system architecture, design, and technology selection.
Directly work with cross functional teams of engineers.
Work with Engineering and Product for scoping and sprint planning activities
Identify and scope infrastructure or tooling changes to impact efficiency and/or quality
Lead contributor and collaborator on system design and architecture
Directly impact our ability to grow quickly while improving operational efficiencies
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Previous experience in the solar and/or renewable energy industry; previous experience with B2B software
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment
A high level of motivation, initiative, commitment, and professionalism
Job Overview
This position writes and tests software to aid in development and support of products. Individuals in this role work with Technical Leads on software system architecture and module design and typically gains experience acting as the owner of a complete module in the system. This position participates in required product development process ceremonies. Employees in this role are responsible for writing and refining technical requirements and technical design documentation.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Codes in multiple languages in support of software products and the development of software products
- Leads software system architecture projects
- Communicates with varying levels within and outside the organization regarding software engineering
- Leads project-level sized teams including assigning work, answering technical project questions, helping other software engineers overcome challenges and mentoring less experienced software engineers
- Participates on technical leadership team responsible for selecting and approving software technology used by the company at-large
- Provides input on software and technology decisions that could affect the entire organization and will likely be active in software engineering industry outside of work
- Acts as a project kick-starter using knowledge gained through research or prototyping
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
