Position Specific Description
Mobile Software Engineer (React Native Experience Required)
EverBright is leading the clean energy revolution through its industry-leading solar software platform and financing marketplace, and we're looking for a mobile software engineer to join our team. As a Mobile Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building software tools that enable the design, sale, financing, and installation of solar, energy storage, and energy efficiency projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop remote solar system design tools for residential and commercial rooftop solar projects using React Native.
- Build sales workflow management and energy financing tools for residential energy professionals using React Native.
- Build energy modeling technology to improve accuracy and efficiency of energy use estimations and financing calculations using React Native.
- Work on application scalability infrastructure, including microservice architecture, using React Native.
Additional Job Overview:
This role requires strong fundamentals in computer science and experience developing commercial software products using React Native. The ideal candidate will have experience in mobile development and fluency with modern client and server-side web frameworks, API design, and relational databases.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with other NextEra Energy teams and customers to develop and deliver industry-leading technology solutions to complex challenges using React Native.
- Write mobile application software using React Native and related frameworks and libraries.
- Develop novel algorithms and software infrastructure to improve accuracy, efficiency, and drive growth in the clean energy industry using React Native.
- Write technical specifications given product requirements and estimate scope of work for technical implementation using React Native.
- Write unit and integration tests for new and existing features using React Native.
- Peer review code and adhere to company coding standards and best practices using React Native.
Additional Responsibilities:

- Conducts system testing and codes unit tests and support features using.
- Documents technical requirement and other technical documentation.
- Works with product team to refine product requirements.
- Collaborates on high-level software design projects.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience as a mobile software engineer.
- Experience developing mobile applications using React Native.
- Strong experience with modern client and server-side web frameworks, API design, and relational databases.
- Experience in mobile development.
- Experience in writing technical documentation.
- Strong coding and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Job Overview
This position writes and tests software to aid in development and support of products. Individuals in this role work with Technical Leads on software system architecture and module design. This position participates in required product development process ceremonies. Employees in this role are responsible for writing and refining technical requirements and technical design documentation.
