Position Specific Description

Palms Insurance Company, Ltd. is NextEra Energy, Inc.’s wholly-owned insurance subsidiary and provides coverage to both affiliated and non-affiliated risks.  The Palms finance team is an integral part of developing strategy for managing risk internally, risk transfer and executing strategy for growth at Palms.

 

The Associate Insurance Operations Analyst will support the workflow process with regard to Palms Insurance Company Limited insurance and Palms Specialty Insurance Company, including reinsurance business underwriting, claims, and accounting. This role will assist the various business functions in collecting information, uploading files in the system, follow-through on validation errors, generating reports, documenting emails and manage physical files. A key responsibility of this resource will be managing all incoming and outgoing mail for the company.

 

This is an on-site position, based in Palm Beach, FL. 


The Associate Insurance Operations Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Manage incoming mail – Open and date al incoming mail, file physical documents, scan and email correspondence for traveling / remote workers, archive and store scanned copies as appropriate
  • Support Risk Management team with data collection and information follow-up on various claims and policies
  • Support organizations and streamlining of Risk management processes
  • Support incoming Bordereaux from program managers - ensure accurate Bordereaux data submitted on time, ingestion into the system and correspondence with internal (underwriting support, claims administration, and finance) stakeholders
  • Review and ensure Bordereaux submitted have accurate template format
  • Complete review of validation errors from Bordereaux ingestion, follow up with individual program managers for correction
  • Ensure and maintain accurate data within the LOC, written and affiliate Bordereaux trackers
  • Support OFAC check process
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Job Overview

The Associate Insurance Operations Analyst position will transact the Palms Insurance Company Limited insurance and reinsurance business underwriting, claims, and accounting across the group’s teams. This role will ensure accurate data and shared services for underwriting support, claims administration, and finance and accounting data, analysis, and reports.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and issue underwriting policies and endorsements
  • Complete underwriting and claims submissions setup including rating and pricing of risks and quotation development
  • Ensure accurate data entry within the Insurance Platform for the underwriting, claims, and accounting teams
  • Manage reinsurance bookings
  • Reconcile premiums, claims, and collections
  • Review underwriting and claims bordeaus
  • Develop and create management reporting
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
