Position Specific Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Works directly with business partners to understand informational needs of end users and create reporting/visualization solutions that turn data into critical information to ultimately drive sound business decisions
- Build and maintain user friendly Power BI environment(s), which empowers operational and exploratory analysis for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Produce comprehensive, usable data set documentation, metadata, BI reports, Dashboards, and insights reporting.
- Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
- Experience with DAX and Power queries in Power BI.
- Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
- Expert with creating and optimizing Power BI data models.
- Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.
- Be comfortable as the communicator with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Effectively manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects that require input and communication from diverse cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs
- Act as SME and coach and mentor other business intelligence analysts in the creation, validation, and application of digital solutions and Insights projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ experience working with Power BI (Strong expertise required).
- 1+ years’ experience with SQL (or similar language aimed at querying relational databases) (Strong expertise required).
- Be experienced in tools and systems on MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, paginated reports, DAX, and DAX Studio.
- Experience managing, manipulating, and validating large data sets from multiple systems, tools, and reports using statistical software or other methods
- Experience in interacting with non-technical stakeholders and their reactive needs to ambiguous and changing priorities even when all the information is not readily available
- Implementation and management of daily data automation utilizing Power Automate and Power Platform.
- Experience in interacting with non-technical stakeholders to gather report/dashboard requirements and QC reports in development.
- Technical skills (Snowflake, Big Query, Python, Azure Data bricks, Tableau, or similar) for mining data, analysis, and leadership presentation.
Job Overview
This position works with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and analytic systems that help end users analyze data in a data warehouse, data mart or other data storage facility. Employees in this role manage the data extraction, transformation, movement, loading, cleansing, and updating processes. Individuals utilize their knowledge of the business data, BI tools, and their use to facilitate in-depth business process analyses.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements and integrates BI applications into technical infrastructure and existing business processes, including reporting, dashboards and analytical data structures
• Provides functional guidance to business unit personnel, and develops end user training and business-orientated metadata definitions
• Designs and writes the scripts required to extract, transform, clean, and move data and metadata
• Participates in the change management and service ticket management processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Works with application vendor as well as licensing of the application
• Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems
• Ensures that systems and processes (including those of external service providers) comply with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and other applicable policies, standards, and legislation.
• Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed
• Meets daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
