Position Specific Description

We are seeking a driven and experienced Large Commercial and Industrial Sales Executive to join our team at NextEra Energy Services. This role will focus on developing and executing an organic pipeline of new natural gas, power and renewables business opportunities within our deregulated markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving extensive sales growth and building strong relationships with large commercial and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new natural gas, power and renewables business opportunities within deregulated markets to expand NextEra Energy Services' customer base.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to uncover prospective clients and understand their energy needs.
  2. Sales Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales target goals.
    • Create customized proposals and presentations to showcase the value of NextEra Energy's energy solutions to potential clients.
  3. Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with large commercial and industrial clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Build and maintain positive, upbeat relationships with team members, leadership and all NextEra colleagues.
  4. Market Awareness and Expertise:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape within deregulated markets.
    • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  5. Reporting and Performance Monitoring:
    • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics.
    • Use CRM tools to manage customer information and sales progress, ensuring data accuracy and up-to-date records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on large commercial and industrial clients.
  • Extensive natural gas, power and renewable experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of deregulated energy markets and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Upbeat, positive demeanor with “team-centric” focus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview

This position is the primary point of contact for an assigned partner and drives revenue by promoting and growing the use of company products by our partners. The position helps partners resolve issues throughout a project lifecycle and participates in the joint development of marketing and sales strategies. The position will have specific sales as well as account management targets and will be expected to perform to achieve quotas.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives channel partners to meet or exceed business goals
  • Forecasts on weekly, monthly and quarterly intervals and manages business to achievement of sales goals and objectives
  • Delivers training and effective coaching to partners
  • Monitors progression on sales pipelines, troubleshoots issues, intervenes and drives results through influencing behaviors
  • Collaborates with the sales and account management team and internal, cross-functional parties in support of partner success
  • Harvests new relationships, develops existing business and possesses the talent to sell at all levels of an organization
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 4+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

 

The estimated base pay for this position is $96,800.00 to $145,200.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
