Position Specific Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. Comprehensive understanding of Active Directory authentication technologies, administration, and standardization. Experience standardizing IT systems and processes to drive efficiency and consistency across an organization. We are looking for a candidate possessing experience with complex IT infrastructures, with an emphasis on maintaining system reliability, security, and performance with extensive experience in managing and administering virtualized environments, particularly on VMware, Linux, and Windows platforms both on-premises and Cloud.
 
Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an IT systems administration.
  • Strong expertise in VMware administration, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud services and management.

 

Technical Proficiency

  • Comprehensive understanding of Active Directory authentication technologies, administration, and standardization.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Experience with backup/recovery solutions and security best practices.

 

Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

 
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and methodologies.
  • Strong documentation skills for creating procedural and technical documentation

Job Overview

This position installs, configures, and maintains computing infrastructure, operating systems, and middleware products on all computer platforms, including mainframes, workstations, and servers - including web servers - in support of 24-hour-per-day, seven-day-per-week business processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Evaluates, implements, and modifies operating system software parameters and product solutions for optimum performance

•  Identifies integration and other interface requirements for all supported products and platforms

•  Serves as a technical escalation point for technicians and customers

•  Troubleshoots hardware, system and application issues

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED

•  Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience

•  Experience: 4+ years

•  Bachelor’s Degree
