Position Specific Description

This role will be part of the Strategic Initiatives and Analytics team supporting FPL Meter Operations. In this role, the team member will be responsible for a variety of complex and cross-functional operational and financial deliverables and require the team member to become a subject matter expert in the overall business. In addition, the team member will be responsible for leveraging their advanced analytical skills to drive operational efficiency through in-depth analysis and process improvements. Additional responsibilities will include complex financial analysis and modeling, and budget forecasting and preparation.  A strong bias for action, attention to detail and a proven track record of execution on complex projects and deliverables is expected.


Core Competencies and Responsibilities:
•    Support business decisions through in-depth operational and financial analysis
•    Programming skills to obtain data and present results using data visualization techniques (R, Python, DAX, SQL).  Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools is preferred.
•    Experienced and self-sufficient in obtaining data from various database sources (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redshift) using odbc or jdbc connections.
•    Strong financial analysis background
•    Knowledge of Six Sigma Quality Tools and Techniques
•    Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to support special projects and ad hoc requests

 

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 4:00pm with extended hours as necessary.


The ideal candidate would prcess the following:
•    Master’s Business Administration
•    Data modeling and forecasting
•    Strong SQL/DAX knowledge
•    Excellent written and verbal communication
•    Six sigma certification(s)
 

Job Overview

  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to support small to medium special projects
  • Assists with process design and modification for continuous business improvement
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 4+ years

  • Bachelor's Degree
