Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 3:00pm, with extended hours as necessary. 


About Position 

***PROJECT BOUND PART TIME POSITION for 1 year in length with the possibility of project extension, but not guaranteed.*** 

Collect outstanding balances from accounts that are no longer active customers of FPL. Responsible for executing detailed skip tracing activities. Identifies, coordinates, validates and conducts investigations involving final bill and written-off collection accounts through database searches. Collects and maintains case related evidence/case files. Perform collection treatments in order to minimize the company's net write-offs.  

Work requires independent decision making to resolve complex billing, customer requests or complaints. With an emphasis on extensive job knowledge and/or experience in corporate procedures & policies. Position emphasizes effective revenue risk management. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced team members. May assist Supervisor with multiple tasks in support of daily operations.

Job Overview

Employees in this role demonstrate resourcefulness using inter-utility databases and available systems for identifying and locating responsible parties with outstanding accounts. The successful candidate helps minimize complaints to the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) by remaining sensitive to customer needs and follows established guidelines to recover delinquent accounts.

Under direct supervision:
•   Collects outstanding balances owed from inactive accounts
•   Gathers, compiles, and maintains information to assist with collection activities
•   Documents status of credit and collection activity
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED
•  Experience:3+ years
