Position Specific Description

The employee in this position will work on cross-functional projects to drive impactful change.   Projects vary greatly in scope and complexity requiring employee to perform various functions from defining requirements, troubleshooting, test development and execution to project management. The position responsibilities will require employee to become a subject matter expert in all billing options for both FPL and FPL NW, to effectively support the operation and projects, and ensure we continue to provide seamless experiences for our customers.

 

Additional tasks and responsibilities will include:
o    Assist with process design and modification for continuous business improvement, including automation, system enhancements, enrichments to KPI measurements and reporting processes
o    Product Owner on billing projects
o    Synthesize business requirements from business needs
o    Contributes to the application testing process (directly or to support end users) 
o    Facilitate project meetings
o    Collaborate with IT and other business units to solve real time technical issues and conduct root cause analysis 
o    Ensure all processes are well documented 
o    Conduct analyses and prepares reports that provide operation and/or technical support to business operations
o    Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support medium to large special projects
o    Use knowledge of business processes to identify interdependencies and functional gaps 
o    Build strong working understanding of the technical solution being delivered and analyzes and determines failure points in the solution 
o    Mentor and train entry level Business Analyst and operational staff
o    Provides support to junior analysts 
o    Team oversees a 24/7 operations and may require extended hours to ensure service levels are met consistently
o    Perform other job-related duties as assigned

 

The Ideal candidate should have:
o    3+ years experience with FPL’s billing options
o    Exposure to Agile program development methodology
o    Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
o    Excellent written and oral communication skills 
o    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
o    Consistent follow-through
o    Ability to multi-task
