Position Specific Description

End User Solutions engineer will interact with our NEE business partners and external vendors to enable the best solution for the enterprise needs for Virtual Desktop, Application Streaming, Printing and Imaging Services.
In this position we help our users understand the solution that best fits their needs. For example, Help Desk users, Support teams and Customer Service Call center have different requirements than Developers, External Contractors and users that need access to a limited number of applications.
Solutions Engineer will lead projects to deploy new capabilities, reuse artifacts, and create reference architecture documents
 
Job Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and deliver new capabilities and features for AWS Workspaces, VMware VDI, and App streaming services from Citrix, VMware, AWS and other solutions supported by NEE
  • Engage with our users to understand their requirements to implement or enhance the Virtual Desktop or Application Streaming solution that best fits their needs
  • Provide reports on systems availability, monitoring, and performance
  • Educate our users, leaders and sponsors on the solution that best fits their financial model
  • Write articles and participate in publications and forums where information is shared to our leaders and users about new features, enhancements, or scheduled and unplanned service interruptions
  • Develop technical documentation for NEE support organization to follow in troubleshooting incidents related to Virtual Desktop, App streaming, Printing platform and other End User platforms at NEE
  • Writing documentation, presentations for leadership, and informative articles.

 
Qualifications:

  • Experience in programing, scripting, automation, baseline configuration tools
  • Knowledge of VMware and AWS Cloud platforms
  • Good oral communication and writing skills. 

Job Overview

This position installs, configures, and maintains computing infrastructure, operating systems, and middleware products on all computer platforms, including mainframes, workstations, and servers - including web servers - in support of 24-hour-per-day, seven-day-per-week business processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Evaluates, implements, and modifies operating system software parameters and product solutions for optimum performance

•  Identifies integration and other interface requirements for all supported products and platforms

•  Serves as a technical escalation point for technicians and customers

•  Troubleshoots hardware, system and application issues

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED

•  Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience

•  Experience: 2+ years

Preferred Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s Degree
