Position Specific Description

We are seeking a capable individual to help increase company revenue by identifying metering conditions causing revenue loss.  The Revenue Protection department uses advanced analytic skills coupled with smart meter and other data available to identify these conditions. 

Employees in this role analyze smart meter data, premise usage, and other characteristics to develop algorithms to identify revenue loss conditions, including the documentation and operationalization of such algorithms.  Additional responsibilities include improving business processes, conducting analysis to support the business case cycle, creating meaningful process indicators, and performing other ad-hoc analysis as assigned.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications and Technologies: 

  • Programming skills to obtain data and present information using data visualization techniques (R, SQL).  Advanced knowledge of R is preferred.
  • Experienced and self-sufficient in obtaining data from various database sources (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redshift) using odbc or jdbc connections.
  • Ability to wrangle data from different sources into meaningful data features that can be used in revenue loss detection algorithms and/or machine learning models.
  • Experience with Machine Learning techniques (classification, regression, feature selection, etc.), including assessing effectiveness of the data model.
  • Knowledge Six Sigma Quality Tools and Techniques
  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to support small to medium special business case / Accelerate projects
  • Experience with medium IT projects design and execution including defining documenting requirements, managing stakeholders, and developing end-to-end test cases
  • R programming
  • Effective written and verbal communications
  • Six sigma certification

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 3+ years

  • Bachelor's Degree
