*****PROJECT BOUND FULL TIME POSITION with Benefits*****

 

This is a temporary Project Bound position with Full Time benefits. Once the project ends completion this position will no longer be available.

Duration: Through the end of December 2022

 

About Position

Opens and classifies payment mail on high speed mail opening equipment. Meet department performance standards for speed and accuracy. Must be willing to work night shift hours

 

Work Schedule

Monday's start time: 3:00am; Tuesdays - Saturday's start time 6:00am

Mondays 12 hour shifts, Tuesdays 5 and half hour shifts, Wednesday - Friday 7 and a half hour shifts. Some Saturdays required.

 

The ideal candidate should have mail opening experience, payment processing experience, familiarity with mail sorting and opening bulk mail. Experience with the following machinery: OPEX 7200 high speed mail opening machine and OPEX Sorter. Having a background in US Mail is a plus. Experience with handling FPL correspondence including Automatic Bill Pay applications and name changes along with experience and knowledge of FPL standard mail is also a plus.

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer mail-in payments and correspondence. Individuals use mail processing equipment to complete sorting, opening, and imaging functions on a timely basis. This job is responsible for conducting basic research and processing customer payments using different company systems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operates equipment that sorts envelopes with customer payments based on business rules and delivers to the next processing step
  • Performs basic troubleshooting of equipment as needed
  • Operates high speed mail processing equipment to open envelopes, extract content, and image documents to process payments
  • Operates rapid extraction machinery efficiently to process exceptions that cannot be handled through high speed equipment
  • Uses vendor software to complete simple keying functions to apply customer payments or route change of address requests
  • Uses company systems and vendor software to perform simple research to apply non-complex payments and correspondence requests 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
