Position Specific Description

This position manages water operations for NextEra Water.  Operations functions include those required to ensure the safe, reliable delivery of drinking water and availability/uptime of water treatment plants.  Efforts will include asset management, equipment performance and monitoring, managing the customer interface (billing, customer inquiries, etc), capital planning, water quality compliance, and managing operations personnel.  Position requires overseeing projects that support continuous improvement of operations functions such as technology deployment and systems and equipment investment.  Candidate should have experience running a water utility, wastewater treatment plant (inclusive of interfacing with external stakeholders like customers, local officials, vendors, suppliers) and will interface with external stakeholders in this role. 


This position will be sitting in our Greater Philadelphia, PA location.

Job Overview

Employees in this role oversee and manage the operations of Transmission/Substation functions and collection systems that deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective electricity.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as market requirements
  • Leads collaborative cross-functional participation and leverages assets and resources
  • Drives a safety focused culture
  • Leads team in completion of maintenance activities
  • Leads team in solving issues/problems related to equipment and systems
  • Ensures administrative functions are complete and being adhered to
  • Drives departmental policy implementation
  • Drives a collaborative environment, encouraging communication within the department and company
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's – Engineering
  • Experience: 5+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's - Business Administration
  • Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
