Position Specific Description

Join NextEra Energy as an LFG Production Technician III at our I95 facility in Lorton, VA. Reporting to the site daily as your home office, this entry-level position involves complying with all regulations and policies, driving continuous performance improvement, and performing other assigned duties.

In plant operations, you will participate in routine and major maintenance activities on industrial engines, conduct all work safely and efficiently while observing safety regulations, participate in on-site monitoring and recordkeeping in accordance with permits and environmental plans, and operate, adjust, and maintain industrial engines to ensure compliance with relevant permits. This includes managing fuel consumption rates, temperature thresholds, pressure thresholds, energy output, emissions output, and record keeping. You will collaborate with other technicians to manage onsite inventory, participate in facility cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a safe and presentable environment, and take part in the site on-call schedule as instructed by the Lead Technician.
