Position Specific Description

The Maintenance and Technical Training Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance and technical training programs across the fleet, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements while effectively preparing personnel for their roles. This position leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training curriculum while managing a team of instructors to deliver high-quality programs. The supervisor monitors trainee progress to ensure required competencies are achieved and maintains compliance with INPO, WANO, and NRC standards.  This position identifies opportunities for program enhancement, implements innovative training solutions, and stays current with industry best practices. The ideal candidate brings previous nuclear training or technical/maintenance operations experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and knowledge of systematic approach to training (SAT) principles. The supervisor must effectively manage multiple priorities, work independently, and demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This position is based out of the Jupiter West corporate office located in beautiful Palm Beach county, Florida.

Job Overview

This job is responsible for the planning and execution of all activities that develop and implement specifically-assigned training programs. Employees in this role ensure that the instruction of training programs complies with approved fleet training procedures.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervises training instructors and guides performance improvement
  • Coordinates training program development and delivery with management from related-disciplines, Emergency Planning, and training departments
  • Participates and leads direction of the Training Review Committees agenda
  • Serves as a member of the Training Department Leadership Team
  • Interfaces with internal client/department leaders to confirm lesson plans meet expected quality and compliance requirements
  • Implements approved procedures and policies to ensure compliance with company standards, NRC regulations and INPO accreditation criteria and other codes, standards and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 6+ years
  • Nuclear Experience: 3+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bachelor's - Engineering

Special Requirements

Nuclear Specific Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Physical Science, Engineering, or Engineering Technology or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Training related experience: 6+ years
  • Nuclear power plant training experience in assigned discipline/specialty: 3+ years

 

Nuclear Specific Preferences:

  • Coursework in educational program development and administration
