Position Specific Description

We are seeking a Manager Cost & Performance to join our Power Delivery Team at Florida Power & Light Company (FP&L).  Power Delivery is responsible for the safe, reliable delivery of power for FP&L.  Within Power Delivery, Business Services is responsible for financial forecasting, analysis and compliance for Power Delivery’s ~$2.5 B annual budget. Business Services works across the different departments within Power Delivery to ensure that the business unit meets or exceeds it financial commitments and provides advisory services to the organization.

 

The Manager of Cost & Performance within Power Delivery Business Services will be required to:

• Lead the cost and performance analytics around our financial and productivity metrics
• Work with and train analysts on the creation and review of financial and productivity models
• Propose strategies to maximize the financial performance of the company
• Liaison between IT and Power Delivery to drive process improvements that drive productivity
• Work closely with Power Delivery departments to support them in identifying process improvement opportunities and developing their business strategies, including preparation for the annual strategy review for Power Delivery
• Forecast workload based on financial metrics to ensure annual budgets are met

 

The Manager of Cost & Performance within Power Delivery Business Services should possess the following:
• Several years of financial modeling and analytical experience such as experience in FP&A, data analytics, consulting, engineering
• Ability to work on matrixed team in a fast paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Ability to work independently
• Strong analytical skills – including expertise in Excel, Power Pivots, SQL
• Strong communication skills – interpersonal as well as the ability to create presentations
• Possess an MBA, CFA, Masters of Finance, or similar experience/education
