Position Specific Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst for the IT organization supporting Nuclear Power Plants located in four different locations within the US.  You will be working in an exciting rewarding position that deals with innovation technology, robotics, drones, and development within the Nuclear Information Technology group. The Nuclear Information Technology group is responsible for providing value added technology to support business efficiency.  We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our high-performing team to provide support for our Nuclear Fleet.   If this sounds like an exciting career path, feel free to apply!

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Demonstrates a strong familiarity with business processes that are in their area of business focus 
•    Establishes and manages effective customer relationships with users of business, financial and operations systems, as well as technical team members 
•    Applies advanced analytical skills within functional area to decompose work into manageable value-based units 
•    Responds to requests, identifies conflicts, and makes recommendations where needed 
•    Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems 
•    Uses knowledge of business processes to identify interdependencies and functional gaps 
•    Builds strong working understanding of the technical solution being delivered and analyzes and determines failure points in the solution 
•    Contributes to the application testing process (directly or to support end users) 
•    Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate, for selected project framework 
•    Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology 
•    Performs other job-related duties as assigned
•    Project Execution / Analytical Thinking / Problem Solving
•    Quickly understands the business issues, strengths, weaknesses and data challenges of client's organization and industry. Suggests areas of improvement.
•    Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
•    Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.
•    Travel to sites throughout the United States averages about 20%


Experience with the following is highly desired for the role:
•    Knowledge or experience with Scrum (Agile) Methodology ideal
•    Programming skills Experience in Python programming 
•    Angular platform
    
 Due to the 24 hour, 7 days per week nature of power generation, night, weekend, and holiday support via telephone or call-out, may be required. Additionally, the individual may travel to sites throughout the United States (approximately 20%).

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
