Position Specific Description
The NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) Operations Emergency Preparedness Manager leads wildfire mitigation strategy and advances enterprise-wide emergency preparedness across all NEET Operating Companies (OPCos). This role is responsible for developing and executing mitigation plans, strengthening organizational readiness, coordinating cross-functional response efforts, and driving continuous improvement across NEET’s Transmission and Substation (T&S) Operations for wildfire and other emergency events. The position ensures a consistent, proactive approach to risk reduction, system resilience, and event response, supporting the reliable and compliant operation of NEET’s T&S assets. This role interfaces regularly with senior leadership across NEET and FPL, providing updates on mitigation strategies, program performance, and emerging risks. Position is based in Florida but eligible for remote work from approved locations. This position requires approximately 20–30% travel to support field-based mitigation activities, industry engagement, situational awareness, team collaboration and emergency preparedness initiatives across NEET’s growing North American portfolio.
