Position Specific Description

Provides drafting and technical services related to the production and revision of Engineering Drawings required in the construction, modification and operation of Power Delivery Systems. Responsible for providing support and training to other employees.    

Responsbilities 
•    Perform technical tasks of a complex nature for Power Delivery projects to produce highly complex drawings in all disciplines through efficient use of CAD technology.
•    Complete assigned Power Delivery projects within schedule and scope, demonstrating proficiency in the interrelationship of Power Delivery drawings.
•    Coordinate drafting large, complex Power Delivery projects. Provide technical guidance        and conduct technical discussions with co-workers/customers.
•    Provide training demonstrating detailed knowledge of specifications and how they are applied in the production of Power Delivery drawings.
•    Assist with updates to process and standards documentation and system libraries as new techniques, methods and cells are developed. 
•    Provide services as an SME for drafting processes.
•    Follow established work process including time reporting, database entry, file protection, clerical functions, etc. incidental to daily work production
•    Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the PC, including the usage of Windows 11 in all respects as it pertains to the use of all Power Delivery applications.  Advanced knowledge of file types and their translation.
•    This position is required to participate in event response to system emergencies.  This includes storm restoration and after hour event response.

Employees in this role perform technical tasks to produce complex drawings through efficient use of CAD technology. Individuals demonstrate a knowledge of specifications and how they are applied in the production of engineering drawings.

Under general supervision:

  • Develops improvements to established work processes with management oversight
  • Provides direction, support, and training to other employees
  • Maintains compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and NERC Standard Compliance
  • Manages and supports special projects as required
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED 
  • Associate's or Equivalent Experience 
  • Experience: 3+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
