Position Specific Description

NextEra 360 Technical Sales Team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Lead to join NextEra Analytics. This pivotal role will support the growth and development of our software and hardware services to both internal and external customers. The Technical Sales Lead will play a key role in engaging with customers from the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sectors as well as the Power and Utility sector to deliver tailored energy solutions. Additionally, this role involves the project management of external customer engagements, focusing on energy consulting, decarbonization roadmaps, and collaboration with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and business units.
Employees in this role act as technical experts and trusted advisors to customers, sales teams, and internal channel partners. They specialize in identifying, advancing, and closing opportunities by comprehending the customer's business and technical requirements, as well as the competitive landscape. By leveraging business insights and deep subject matter expertise, they build and sustain customer relationships, using the insights gained during the discovery process to design solutions that align with the customer's business needs.

 

 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive the growth of NextEra Analytics’ & NextEra Energy’s energy solutions. 
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with Commercial and Industrial customers, as well as Power and Utility clients.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales and implementation process.
  • Understand customer needs and provide consultative support to ensure satisfaction and success.
  • Lead project management activities for external customer engagements from inception to completion.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including energy consulting and decarbonization roadmaps, tailored to client requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal SMEs and business units to deliver customized energy solutions to customers.
  • Serve as a technical expert on NextEra Analytics’ software and hardware offerings.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers to ensure effective utilization of our solutions.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to relay customer feedback and contribute to product enhancements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and marketing, to align sales efforts with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and present reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Support technical discussions and solution design throughout the sales process in order to progress/close deals and build customer relationships
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical education, and proof of concepts
  • Provide input on proposals and draft scope of work
  • Maintain an understanding of the customer’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
