Position Specific Description

 

Senior Transmission Analysts report to Principal Analysts (Team Leads) and are tasked with supporting or leading GIS efforts for specific active/planned projects. Responsibilities include web application development, complex mapping, and data management tasks. Senior Analysts should be comfortable coordinating with consultants/external vendors also providing GIS support.  For instance, a Senior Analyst may act as a GIS Project Manager, providing support for competitive bid initiatives and awarded and capital transmission projects.
Includes but not limited to:
• Lead support of assigned projects as the main point of contact for developers and SME teams. This includes attending all project meetings as the GIS SME, collaborating with other business units to determine needed deliverables, communicate effectively with the Principal Analyst about all projects.
• Create and maintain all project related web applications, project data, and Project folders in accordance with best practices and SOPs.
• Lead transmission routing efforts on projects by coordinating with developers and any external consultants performing transmission routing studies.
• Enforce compliance of data quality, SOPs, and standards for all users, including junior GIS staff, developers, and consultants 
• Field Maps set-up as needed
• Effective Coordination with consultants, by providing the approved data schemas and setting up Collaboration locations in AGOL.

Job Overview

This position supports management by supplying solutions for technical transmission issues for Development projects and current assets for project or region of responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 4+ years
