Position Specific Description

We are seeking a Sr. Tax Attorney to become a member of our Tax Planning team. Our in-house tax department is a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.  The ideal candidate would have experience with Big 4 or a nationally recognized law firm experience preferred (e.g., Am Law Top 25) with focus on M&A, international, or partnership tax.   Preferred for Juris Doctorate (JD) to be from top 100 law school.   Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM) preferred to be from a top 5 tax program.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of various worldwide tax projects, including analyzing relevant tax law for tax planning transactions;  working with foreign and domestic tax advisors to understand relevant tax rules; partnering with multiple business units to understand both domestic and foreign tax implications; and reviewing financial models to illustrate the tax consequences of various alternatives
  • Work with Governmental Affairs, Investor Relations, and Communications to promote the Company's legislative priorities and assist with communications
  • Communicate complex technical tax issues to Senior Management and internal/external stakeholders
  • Negotiate, draft and review tax provisions in deal documents
  • Prepare and review technical tax memoranda 
  • Manage and develop team members
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Juris Doctorate
  • Experience: 5+ years
  • Member in Good Standing of State Bar

Preferred Qualifications

  • LLM - Master of Laws
