Job Overview
This position is responsible for providing product ownership in planning and overseeing the successful execution of various small to medium sized projects throughout the project life cycle. Individuals will provide project guidance, prioritization and coordination with various internal teams such as Application Development, Applied Math and Science to ensure timely and effective project execution within the Agile development framework. Employees in this role commonly provide status updates and presentations to varying levels of management and collaborate with other business units to ensure projects are not only effective, but completed on time and on budget.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Develops models and performs quantitative studies to support many aspects of NextEra and FPL business
• Improves upon or develops simple to moderately complex mathematical models with oversight from Science and Applied Math
• Leads sprint planning and directs the implementation of critical and complex projects which typically involves and impacts multiple business unit stakeholders
• Drives and participates in the evaluation and implementation of continuous improvement efforts
• Develops and executes product roadmaps and strategies consistent with business unit vision
• Provides frequent status updates and presentations, both formal and informal, to varying levels of management
• Travels to remote office locations for detailed requirements gathering and major project briefings (expected 10-25% of the time)
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 4+ years

• Master's Degree
