Position Specific Description

This position will be responsible for providing paralegal support for the employment attorneys within the law department, including:

  • Assists in preparation of motions, briefs and discovery, including use of e-discovery tools and preparation of documents for production
  • Manages filing and receipt of documents associated with a claim or lawsuit, including notices, subpoenas, invoices, motions, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Manages calendaring of all events and deadlines associated with a claim or lawsuit, including responses to a complaint, discovery, depositions, hearings, meetings and trial
  • Manages filing and receipt of subpoenas, including for records, depositions, hearings, and trial
  • Provides support for hearings, depositions and trial
  • Supports employment attorneys in non-litigation matters by gathering, reviewing and preparing documents and correspondence
  • Coordinates meetings with business unit representatives, including executives

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Under limited supervision:

  • Drafts and edits legal documents based on edits and input from corporate attorneys
  • Participates in special projects or activities related to the legal discipline being supported  
  • Performs legal and transaction related research
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 7+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certification
