Position Specific Description

For this specific position, we are seeking a candidate that has Subject Matter Expertise in rotating equipment Machinery Diagnostics and condition assessment using vibration and process data to provide hands on and remote diagnostics. This position will require knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of rotating equipment vibration matters including balancing, alignment, resonance, and process anomalies in a large fleet of power plants nationwide.

 

Machines to be supported include Combustion Turbines, Generators, large Steam Turbines, Wind Turbines, 4KV+ Motors and Pumps, Compressors & Boiler Fans.

 

Candidate will be working with analysis and process data from: Bently Nevada racks, System 1, Adre, Emerson Machinery Health Manager, CSI Machinery Heath Analyzer, IOtech Analyzer, ez-TOMAS analysis software and OSISoft PI system, so proficiency in same are required for success.

 

Candidate must have demonstrable expertise in proper hands on and remote machinery field balancing techniques, shaft alignment, vibration data analysis and data analysis.

 

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and level 3 vibration certification from an industry wide recognized training organization. Equivalent experience maybe considered.

 

Travel to power plants will be required for onsite troubleshooting support.

 

Highly Preferred – Six Sigma or similar Quality training.

•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned
