The planner will work with local governments, primarily, to get approvals through the process for renewable projects. The planner will also work with NextEra’s local planners and land use counsel. Attendance will be required at certain meetings and public hearings, so travel will part of the role. The planner will also work to create a network of local planners who can also assist, when it makes sense to have them onboard. NextEra continues to expand into transmission and other infrastructure projects and this person will also provide land use support for those projects.
