Position Specific Description
The incumbent in this role will report to the Senior Director of Security and Aviation within the Corporate Security Department. This position is based in our Juno Beach corporate office location (Please note, relocation to this location is not being offered) and occasional travel will be required as assignments may occur anywhere within the NextEra Energy, Inc. service territories. Our areas of focus include: Strong customer orientation, cost effective operations, commitment to quality, speed, simplicity, and flexibility. Job Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: The ideal candidate will have experience in law enforcement investigations and/or industrial security, executive protection, familiarity with criminal law, general knowledge of threat assessment methodology and security systems, a college degree and/or ASIS CPP certification.
• Conducts and manages investigations in support of asset protection and safe and secure workplace policies
• Develops and conducts security training and awareness for employees and makes presentations to same
• Makes presentations to senior management on the strategic direction of security program
• Position requires frequent travel to locations throughout the state of Florida. Estimate percentage of travel is 25% of the time
• Support FPL Storm restoration efforts
• Perform NERC CIP Facility Service Reviews
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Job Overview
Employees in this role are responsible for coordinating the security program in an area to maximize asset recovery and deterrence through the investigation of criminal activity and to minimize asset loss through the administration of asset protection programs during normal and emergency conditions.

- Conduct law enforcement liaison
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 10+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON-CDL)
