Position Specific Description

Help create a new group where employees in this role support senior management during negotiations with counterparties and work closely with front-line originators. The role is broad based and will utilize project management, deal research, marketing and finance skills in addition to working on ad hoc projects. The team works with originators to identify counterparts and form a profile through research, leads / coordinates internal activities once an opportunity is identified as well as works with the counterpart/originator during negotiation. This includes pulling in the appropriate subject matter experts for advice (across several groups such as Legal, Pricing, Regulatory, Transmission Planning), consolidating their views and working with the originator and counterpart on crafting a transaction with the highest potential of internal approvals that meet the counterpart requirements. The position could be higher level for the right candidate.
 
This opportunity will have the option to sit in one of our offices in Juno Beach, FL; Austin, TX or Irving, TX
 
Key Responsibilities include:

  • Tracking projects and working collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts                                     
  • Building business processes for more efficient operation of the team                                    
  • Prepares PowerPoint presentations to be provided to Senior and Executive Management as well as external counterparties                                    
  • Helps make recommendations to structure and terms of agreements                                    
  • Coordinates, reviews and comprehends input from several subject matter experts                                     
  • Acts as mentor to lower level employees 
  • Researches possible M&A candidates 

Job Overview

This job is responsible for structuring complex commercial and industrial products. Employees in this role conduct analyses and quality control for all automated pricing engines.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates economic models and performs statistical analysis to support the development and evaluation of complex energy transactions and deal structures              
  • Serves as a problem-solver with a “customer-first” mentality by identifying the needs of business customers and devising innovative ways to meet those needs                       
  • Supports the sales team and account executives by providing time-critical analysis for new, incremental and existing business opportunities
  • Collects, analyzes, and presents data in order to communicate complex concepts in conversations and presentations with senior management, external client organizations, and project partners    
  • Manages multiple projects and coordinates work efforts with other team members, facilitating cooperation amongst cross-functional teams that reach across business units
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 4+ years
