Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy, Inc. a leading energy company, is looking for a Sr. FICO Functional candidate who can work on small to medium projects independently and provide functional production support. This role involves heavy interaction a team of business representatives or liaisons for requirement gathering.  Candidate must be able to prioritize work, develop enhancements to the existing systems, coordinate testing, and perform change management / training while recommending improvements to existing business and system processes. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide SAP ECC FI/CO functional expertise on small to medium projects to ensure timely and effective project execution as well as daily production support.
  • Assist with planning, design, configuration, testing, and production release on financial projects which typically involve and impact multiple business areas within an Agile environment.
  • Interact with a team of business representatives or liaisons to gather requirements, prioritize work, develop enhancements, coordinate testing, and perform change management.
  • Work closely with development teams both onshore and offshore providing detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of new development and/or technology pertaining to project(s) and enhancement in the SAP ECC FI/CO space


Requirements

  • Configuration, design and support of at least 3 years of SAP Asset Management module, SAP A/P and A/R modules and SAP G/L module.
  • Three (3) or more years of SAP ECC configuration/design/support experience in FICO
  • Bachelor's - Sciences (CPA and / or MBA is a plus) with accounting background
  • Additional experience in some of the following R/3 modules is desired: PS, PCA, AP, TR/Banks, AR, Workflow, SD
  • Configuration experience in Asset Management module is required
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment is desired
  • Experience working in an ECC 6.0 and S/4 environment is desired
  • Experience developing ECC forms, reports, interfaces, conversions and enhancements
  • ABAP knowledge a plus but not required
  • Utility/FERC experiences a plus but not required
  • Readsoft/Kofax or OCR/scanning software, EDI and Rev Trac knowledge a plus but not required

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for specification and configuration of SAP application enhancements and proactive identification of opportunities to use SAP functionality to better support business processes, along with providing end-user support. Individuals will work with project managers, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Managers, and information technology and business representatives to keep abreast of operational issues, initiatives and strategies with a potential SAP impact.

•  Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems

•  Uses knowledge of business processes to identify interdependencies and functional gaps

•  Builds strong working understanding of the technical solution being delivered and can analyze and determine failure points in the solution

•  Contributes to the application testing process directly and in support of end users

•  Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate for selected project framework

•  Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned
