Position Specific Description

As part of our Research, Insights and Analytics team, the Senior Project Manager, New Product Insights is responsible for both qualitative and quantitative research projects with a focus on new product development. 


This is a senior-level position that serves as a key contributor on the team in a broad range of marketing research and analytics activities. A successful candidate will have a background in marketing research and will have experience consulting on research requests, establishing advanced research methodologies, writing and vetting questionnaires and discussions guides, performing data analysis and presenting results to large groups.
Employees in this role are expected to work with a high degree of initiative and independence in anticipating client needs, developing solutions that further the business objectives and ensuring their successful implementation. 


Responsibilities include:


  • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary contact on all marketing research activities for new product development and innovation.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders, including all levels of leadership, to scope, plan, manage, and drive all steps of the marketing research process from project planning and questionnaire / guide development to data analysis and presentation.
  • Recommend and manage custom research methodologies such as focus groups, ethnographies, needs-state analysis, customer segmentation, discreet-choice modeling, conjoint testing, price sensitivity modeling, market sizing, concept testing and others.
  • Develop and report on KPIs to measure performance.
  • Communicate conclusions, implications, and recommendations in a concise fashion to support more effective decision-making.
  • Help develop new team capabilities in product-centric ideation, development, and testing.
  • Outline measurement plans for comprehensive, multi-channel marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Effectively manage multiple vendor relationships.
  • Be equally comfortable leading research through DIY research tools (writing questionnaires, programming surveys, data analysis) and vendor management.


An ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven knowledge and experience managing the full market research cycle
  • Familiarity with advanced research methodologies such as customer segmentation, discreet-choice modeling, conjoint testing, ethnography, and other need-state analyses
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data and link insights to brand growth opportunities
  • Experience with customer insights and analytics tools (survey programming software, secondary research databases, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate all analyses, findings, conclusions, and recommendations to marketing and operating stakeholders


Preferred experience: 

  • Experience with dashboard visualization reporting tools
  • Excellent organizational skills and project management leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team member open to feedback and collaboration
  • Expert presenter that uses data to tell a story
  • Effective written communications
  • Effective verbal communications
  • Advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 3+ years
