Position Specific Description
The expansion of the transmission system will pave the way for a carbon-free future that allows renewables to be implemented in resource optimal locations and transported to load centers. In order to achieve this goal, significant amounts of new transmission infrastructure will need to be built. NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) is the leading competitive transmission developer in the US and Canada to develop transmission solutions that enable this future.
The NEET Sr. Project Manager leads the development and execution of plans for new and enhanced transmission projects. This position is responsible for:
• Leading and managing resource allocation, schedules, and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost-effective and competitive manner.
• Driving all aspects of the project life-cycle, including need/solution identification, financial feasibility analysis, engineering/design, project legal review, and financial negotiations.
• Ensuring the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.
Location: Candidate should be located in or near North Dakota, Oklahoma, Kansas state areas. Candidate will be remote reporting out of our Juno Beach, FL Headquarters.

This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of the day to day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive result
- Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations
- Responsible for managing multiple and complex projects
- Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects
- Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection
- Constructs contractual arrangements for project development
- Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors
- Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements
- Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad/GED
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
