Position Specific Description

The Sr Product Marketing Strategist will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing and evaluating the success of marketing plans in support of various product lines. This role will also be accountable for managing and executing campaigns, analyzing performance, developing dashboards, and coordinating campaign development initiatives. Primary focus areas consist of working collaboratively and cross functionally to build and optimize traditional marketing and digital marketing (SEM, SEO, display, mobile, social, email, etc.) with a goal of accelerating customer enrollments and sales. 
 
Candidates who will be successful in this role will have the following qualifications:
•    Five or more years of relevant experience required; minimum of three years in product marketing role.
•    Proven experience in marketing strategy and B2C lead generation, and running multi-channel campaigns (digital advertising, web, social media, email, direct mail)
•    A talent for creative thinking and problem-solving. A demonstrated track record in designing, delivering and managing scalable GTM campaigns that achieve customer lead generation, sales and/or retention goals.
•    Lead, manage and optimize marketing acquisition and retention programs and vendors across a wide array of platforms and channels with a keen eye on ROI.
•    Takes a data-driven approach; conducts tests, performs analysis and research, and optimizes to improve ROI. 
•    Explore, test, and refine innovative new approaches designed to engage customers at all levels of their buying journey and deliver appropriate and compelling content and messages to them at the right time and in the right way.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams: including content creators, designers and subject matter experts to coordinate assets and content across various marketing channels.
•    Experience in project management a plus.
•    Ability to prioritize multiple projects to achieve business objectives.
 

Job Overview

Employees in this role oversee the marketing efforts for a broad portfolio of products/programs that may include direct accountability for delivering annual sales or enrollment goals.  Employees exercise high levels of decision-making and budget authority and present program KPIs regularly at the executive or senior leadership level.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops product definition and go-to-market strategies for new products 
  • Provides ongoing program acquisition and retention strategies, which may include campaign and content development
  • Conducts customer market research efforts around product/market fit, segmentation, messaging, or pain points in conjunction with teams that perform research and insights.
  • Serves as marketing strategist and contact with product owners
  • Establishes and manages program marketing budgets 
  • Aligns and drives cross-functional collaboration among internal and external marketing partners across communications, research, creative, digital experience, email, digital marketing, customer service, and product management to maximize marketing program effectiveness and drive cost efficiencies 
  • Identifies cross-selling/upselling strategies across product portfolio and drives cross-functional collaboration to implement strategies where applicable 
  • Ensures compliance of marketing programs with regulatory, legal, customer privacy policies, and establishes and enforces clear processes to ensure quality control and assurance in marketing execution 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
