Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy Inc. and Florida Power and Light are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our IT Enterprise Vendor Management Organization (VMO).  In this role you will be an important member of a team chartered with optimizing vendor relationships and procurement processes.  You will advocate and implement simplified procurement process improvements, including purchase orders and releases, providing clarity and speed for the IT team.  You will also focus on spend and resource data analysis for reporting and strategy formulation for several IT business unit teams.
The successful candidate will be a strong contributing member of a centralized team to facilitate IT organizational strategies for preferred vendor utilization and contract management.  You must have the ability to develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while reducing total cost of ownership.  An aptitude to be an authoritative point of contact for IT on compliant outsourcing policies while contributing to their development and documentation, and a desire to develop product owner skillset for our Fieldglass Statement of Work (SOW) system, is required.
 
Responsibilities Include:
•    Provide primary contract management support for NextEra Energy Resources, Enterprise Apps, and Enterprise Architecture IT teams for labor, software, hardware, and maintenance contracts.
•    Provide leadership in the continued implementation and on-going maintenance of Fieldglass SOW system.
•    Manage regular vendor reviews to evaluate supplier performance and mitigate escalations.
•    Build cross functional partnerships with Supply Chain, Finance, and Security to facilitate compliance and efficiencies for their respective contract process responsibilities.
•    Gain mastery of relevant outsourcing policies and enforce compliance of IT spend processes.
•    Provide mentoring for operations and product teams regarding contract requirements.
•    Review existing contract terms periodically for adherence to FPL standards and policies.
•    Facilitate contract renewals by leading contract renewal discussions with contract stakeholders with adequate time based on the contract size, complexity, and stakeholder strategy.
•    Facilitate stakeholder decisions and approvals for the financial classification of contract deliverables, products, and services as applicable.
•    Communicate and present information to stakeholders about contract-related matters.
 
Highly Desired Qualifications
•    Greenbelt certification
•    Procurement agent experience with relationship management
•    SAP purchasing system experience
•    SAP Fieldglass SOW system experience
•    Working knowledge of Fixed Fee contracting methods (Deliverable, Service, Agile) 
•    Proven project management and process improvement skills
•    Data mining experience with Power BI
•    Strong quantitative and analytical skills
