Position Specific Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Technical Architect to lead our platform management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of architecture design, platform management, and technology solutions. As a Senior Technical Architect, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our technology platform to achieve optimal performance, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture Design: Develop and maintain a comprehensive architecture strategy to support business objectives, ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Platform Management: Oversee the management, monitoring, and optimization of the technology platform, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and leadership to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Integration: Design and implement integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow across various systems and applications.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and IT leadership to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including design patterns, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Security: Ensure the platform adheres to best security practices and compliance requirements, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize platform performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and coach junior architects and technical teams, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our platform and recommending improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in technical architecture, platform management, and software development.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in architecture design principles and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and integration techniques
  • Deep understanding of security protocols, authentication, and cyber threats
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Certification: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF) are a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in [specific industry, if applicable] is desirable.
  • Tools: Proficiency with architecture modeling tools and project management software.

Job Overview

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with business partners to analyze strategy and trends to define the requirements, principles, and models that guide technology decisions
  • Communicates and enforces technology standards with business partners
  • Understands industry trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies
  • Drives digital innovation and develops roadmaps through new technologies and approaches to fulfill strategic business plans
  • Defines high-level migration plans to address gaps in current state
  • Coaches, mentors, and leads technical subject matters experts to enable and drive consistency across technology architectures
  • Designs and owns governance, assurance, and standards activities for enterprise technology architecture compliance
  • Oversees and facilitates the evaluation, risk assessment, selection, and design of hardware and software technology and product standards
  • Delivers technology architecture artifacts, possibly including reference architectures or concepts of operation
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 4+ years
