Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy Resources (NEER) is looking for a talented digital content creator and copywriter to concept and write compelling digital and social creative. In this role you would champion NEER’s clean energy initiatives across the United States and help us change the world. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has a strong creative portfolio and a passion for visual storytelling. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm and contribute to content calendars for renewable energy (wind, solar and battery storage) projects across the United States. 
  • Develop engaging content for advocacy and public relations purposes across digital channels – including email, social, and web - in collaboration with business partners and team members.
  • Customize messaging based on channel, tactic, and target audience utilizing research when available.
  • Work with both in-house and agency graphics teams to develop unique and engaging content.
  • Utilize social listening platforms, monthly reporting, industry research and regional trends/issues to guide creative strategy and messaging.
  • Support the development and execution of digital campaigns by working cross-functionally with SMEs, web, email, studio, and development teams.
  • Support social media community management and messaging development.  
  • Stay highly organized, yet flexible, while managing many projects across different regions and demographics.
  • May require up to 10% travel
  • Work occasional nights and weekends as needed.


Candidates should have: 

  • 5+ years copywriting experience at advertising agencies and/or in-house creative departments
  • 3+ years of digital marketing/social media experience
  • Samples or portfolio required for consideration
  • Public affairs or political campaign experience a plus
  • Highly creative; excellent writing skills
  • Strong editing/proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, strong sense of urgency and responsibility
  • Experience working in social media management solutions – Sprinklr preferred
     

Job Overview

This job is responsible for assisting with projects from the earliest stages of concept and development through to successful completion on time, on budget and as measured by achievement of metrics. Employees in this role are expected to work with a high degree of initiative and independence in anticipating client needs, developing communication solutions that further the business objectives, and ensuring their successful implementation. This position serves as a key contributor on the team in a broad range of communications activities as assigned.
