Position Specific Description

The Revenue and Rate Strategy Lead, reporting to the Director of Revenue and Rate Strategy will work as part of the newly created Revenue & Rate Strategy team.  This position will use advanced research and quantitative analytical skills to identify and assess potential opportunities for FPL to grow. This includes investigating market trends and opportunities and how those trends could impact our regulated business through detailed analysis and modeling.  Successful candidates will have a passion for emerging technology such as solar, battery storage, electric vehicles, distributed energy management, smart cities and/or blockchain.

Employees in this position identify, investigate, evaluate and negotiate acquisitions/divestitures and strategic business alliances that are in line with the organization's long-range goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and develops new market initiatives and analyzes business opportunities in both new and existing markets
  • Develops proposals, including feasibility studies, for new business opportunities
  • Identifies, analyzes and compares alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies
  • Stays abreast of industry developments, changes, and advances in respective area of expertise
  • Consults with other business units on appropriate rate structures to achieve objectives
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's Degree
