Position Specific Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically minded professional to support the health, performance, and continuous improvement of AI, analytics, and software products across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of quantitative analysis, engineering operations, and product insights. 

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, an interest in technology and system performance, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights. You will support teams by building product health dashboards, generating KPI reports, identifying trends, and helping ensure that our AI and analytics products deliver strong, reliable performance for customers across the NextEra family of businesses. 

You will also assist with rapid prototyping, enabling business units and engineering teams to quickly test new ideas, validate concepts, and accelerate innovation. 

This role is ideal for someone who is curious, data-driven, and passionate about supporting modern AI/ML and digital engineering teams. 

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Develop, operate, and maintain product health dashboards that monitor system performance, data quality, reliability, and user engagement 
  • Define, track, and report KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs that measure the health and value of AI, analytics, and digital products 
  • Support app monitoring, including alerts, trend analysis, and early detection of anomalies or performance degradations 
  • Deliver recurring KPI reports and insights to internal customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams 
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to establish cohesive product monitoring strategies and operational support mechanisms 
  • Assist with lightweight prototyping and quantitative experimentation to accelerate innovation across business lines 
  • Conduct data analysis, identify trends, and synthesize findings into clear recommendations 
  • Support creation of operational runbooks, documentation, and standards for maturing products 
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to improve overall system performance and user experience 

Preferred Qualifications and Technologies: 

  • Experience with product analytics, quantitative analysis, or engineering operations 
  • Familiarity with modern data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Superset) 
  • Experience with SQL and Python for exploration and data manipulation 
  • Understanding of KPI design, operational metrics, and monitoring frameworks 
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, GCP Monitoring, Prometheus) 
  • Experience building dashboards, automated reports, or lightweight prototypes 
  • Understanding of statistical concepts such as distributions, variance, and trend analysis 
  • Ability to explain analytical insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences 

Job Overview

Employees in this role develop models, price energy derivatives, design and perform quantitative studies and analyses of spot/forward prices and volatilities for making pricing, trading, and risk management decisions. This position assists in the development of core algorithms and models to support trading, origination, and asset optimization decisions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and improves upon mathematical models and translates algorithms into code
  • Works with origination, risk management and trading to interpret valuations provided by models and responds to intra-day trading requests to price and evaluate structured transactions
  • Assists development of energy price forecast, forward curve, and volatility models
  • Designs and constructs risk management tools used in evaluating company's risk profile and exposure levels
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 2+ years
