Position Specific Description
This position oversees the strategic resolution of customer SAP access issues and the final implementation of role / process / policy enhancements, while ensuring continued compliance and alignment of SAP Access Governance for the entity as a whole, with few exceptions. The primary focus of this role is to be the Company’s subject matter expert (SME) over Business and/or Technical Roles and to be the primary driver of access role governance evaluations to ensure SAP access assigned to users throughout the Company is aligned with their role.
Leaders in this role are responsible for day-to-day SAP access support ticket resolution, ensuring consistent application of the Company’s system access procedures for Segregation of Duties, regulatory environment needs, and strategic vision while balancing internal customer service needs. This individual will need a blended acumen of business and technical expertise and use their prior knowledge over access governance as to not introduce changes to the security model that would destabilize the process. Additionally, this individual is expected to informally lead and mentor other support staff at various levels of experience and identify opportunities to further synergize and remove low value activities from security governance processes.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports customer access issues for all assigned areas of SAP, including financial areas of S4, BPC/BW4, BOBJ, SRM, SRM BW, SAC, GRC, except for CAMS and HR
- Partners with IT and other business professionals to troubleshoot and resolve ancillary access related issues
- Drive the creation or changes of technical roles by identifying the roles risk impacts, mappings, and removals, including Fiori.
- Supports leadership navigating through Forecasting/Reporting solution changes to facilitate the agreed solution and map access to the technical role or create a new technical role that will be assigned to a business role
- Oversee technical compliance reviews
- Support Fiori changes or other technical model changes
- Guides end users on logical access best practices and promotes sensible governance practices
- Evaluates and proposes changes to the Segregation of Duties (SOD) ruleset
- Provides management with insight as to best practices for SAP Data Governance
- Review and validate technical changes and final risk of security Rev-Tracs for SOD impact and Business Governance oversight
- GRC Business Role Access Approval for a majority of Finance related personas as well as Company code enablers
- Performs and facilitates the GRC business role owner review / updates.
Other Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supports team members who monitors role / position changes and actions access changes from both a customer service and security governance perspective
- Oversees the quarterly reevaluation of SOD risks, both for SAP Financial and Cross-System risk and escalates issues to Management for review
- Leads the team for annual user level SOD mitigation review / Deloitte Audit Review and any Adhoc audit inquires or business requests for information.
- Identify, design, develop, advise, and support implementation of new processes, projects, and process improvements outside of current technical scope, when required
- Provides Technical education for users on transaction codes, tools, and documents general work SAP processes
- Provides SAP Business audit support for Project audits, as required.
- Leads in all SAP upgrades, enhancements, and related projects, completing user testing to ensure integrity, consistency, and accuracy of the system, transactions, and reporting
- Supports the personal growth and development of staff while showcasing leadership acumen
- Champions their own growth and development through opportunities to attend in-house conferences, events, groups, and other miscellaneous training

Job Overview
This position serves as a consultant and subject matter expert on the company’s financial systems. Employees in this role partner with business units to understand business needs and serve as the financial accounting and Information Technology (IT) liaison for accounting systems, specifically as it relates to establishing and maintaining master data in the Company’s SAP financial systems. This position is responsible for the evaluation, creation, and maintenance of SAP master data for the company and affiliates. Employees in this role assist in the implementation of system enhancements and testing while also maintaining the integrity of management reporting requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluates, coordinates, develops, creates, and maintains accounting systems related to Master Data as it pertains to Payroll, Site/Plant, Financing, and Corporate Companies in SAP and department, management company financials, and reporting
- Completes “Help Desk” and department mailbox inquiries by investigating questions and system challenges and providing responses and/or training as needed
- Participates in evaluating new business requirements and related impacts to Master Data by collaborating with other SAP experts, reporting, forecasting, consolidations, and IT to determine implications, if any, of proposed new or changes to master data and proposes best course of action
- Provides training for all aspects of Master Data in addition to specific applications and how it impacts, or is related to, non-SAP systems as it interrelates with SAP and business requirements
- Participates, reviews, and validates SAP Master Data involvement and requirements as it relates to projects in process across all departments throughout the company
- Maintains cost object data for unidentified projects and tax specific Master Data and rates, including tax tables and effective dates of data and forecasting versions
- Participates in all SAP upgrades, enhancements, and related projects, completing user testing to ensure integrity, consistency, and accuracy of the system, transactions, and reporting
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 6+ years
