Position Specific Description

  • Responsibilities include project management of highly complex Florida Public Service Commission dockets for both electric and gas utility (e.g., managing project timelines for case preparation and filing, handling discovery, leading effective meetings, resolving regulatory issues, coordinating hearing prep, attending hearings, etc.)
  • Ability to develop positive, trusting and collaborative working relationships with legal and other business units to ensure regulatory requirements are satisfied
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written) and provide accurate, well-defined and articulate research and docket summaries (may include filings, live agendas/hearings) on a timely basis
  • Responsible for Regulatory business unit reporting, including monthly and quarterly coordination with senior management
  • Experience with SharePoint, Caseworks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree highly preferred

•   Analyzes and reports on changes in regulations and their expected impacts
•   Prepares federal and state certification applications and required filings
•   Assists management in the monitoring of state and federal regulatory and legislative development to identify issues affecting company's operations and plans
•   Assists in coordinating the representation of organization's interests before state regulatory and legislative bodies or industry standard setting committees
•   Influences rules and procedures
•   Provides guidance to less experienced regulatory affairs analysts
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
•  Experience: 6+ years
