Position Specific Description

Programmer/Analyst that will be responsible to define, develop, test, analyze and maintain software solutions in support of the automation of SAP master data using the WinShuttle Development tools.  This includes writing, coding, testing, analyzing, configuring, debugging and documenting new or existing software programs and applications according to specifications and development standards per specific discipline.  Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of the solution as necessary.  Collaborate with the agile team in conceptualizing and development of initiative solutions.  This individual will become part of an agile scrum or Kanban team focusing on SAP Master Data solutions. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working within an agile team to develop user stories gather requirements and understand business functional needs
  • Performing data analysis and data cleansing of both transaction and master data.
  • Developing and enhancing data conversion solutions, including extracting and converting data from legacy systems into SAP.
  • Developing workflows and forms, along with implementing data quality rules via WinShuttle Composer and WinShuttle Foundation.
  • Using technologies such WinShuttle Transaction / Query / Composer, Winshuttle Studio, Microsoft SQL Services Management Studio (SSMS), and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Performing unit and integration testing of developed solutions.
  • Developing a data quality governance solution.
  • Developing detailed user guides, including functional and technical specifications.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years prior hands on IT experience, and 2+ years experience in business process analysis.
  • 2+ years experience performing data mapping and developing data flows in SAP Data Services, or 3+ years Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and (SSMS)
  • 3+ years experience developing WinShuttle Transactions/Query in WinShuttle Studio (or a prior product) and WinShuttle Composer solutions.
  • 2+ years experience working with MS SQL queries and JavaScript
  • An understanding of data modeling.
  • An ability to design and implement automated solutions to govern and enhance data quality through data cleansing. Familiar with setting up and using scheduled jobs to enable automated data governance.
  • Experience with SAP configuration, working with other entities such as Materials, Customers, Vendors, and FI Master Data (Profit Centers, G/L, Cost Center, IO creations).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP ECC 6.0.
  • Experience with SAP Data Services and WinShuttle, or other mass load tools or technologies

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains and/or enhances existing or new systems, that are reliable and efficient
•   Develops customized programming solutions, and maintains existing system functionality
•   Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, and prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written
•   Applies appropriate development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools and technology
•   Collaborates on an on-going basis with the Business Systems Analyst
•   Participates in the ticket management and resolution processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring and customer satisfaction
•   Leads projects when needed
•   Provides direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff
•   Builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered
•   Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems
•   Follows and participates in the defined Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) compliance, and General Computing Controls
•   Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed
•   Meets daily, weekly and monthly reporting requirements   
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned
