Position Specific Description

This position involves assessing, designing, developing, integrating, and troubleshooting technology to support business processes. Employees provide technical or functional guidance to project or work teams across various disciplines. This position is responsible for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems, ensuring excellent technical support services are provided. Key responsibilities include implementing and configuring SAP application enhancements, identifying opportunities to leverage SAP functionality for improved business processes, and delivering end-user support. The role requires collaboration with project managers, ERP Managers, IT teams, and business representatives to stay informed of operational issues, initiatives, and strategies impacting SAP.

 

A strong background in SAP Industry Standard for Utilities (ISU) is essential, particularly in Functional Financial (FICA) or Billing configuration. Hands-on experience in leading FICA or Billing projects and providing innovative solutions is required for successful project delivery.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, integrate, customize, and enhance existing or new systems.
  • Apply appropriate Agile methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology for managing development activities.
  • Automate the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps).
  • Participate in change management and service ticket management processes, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective resolution monitoring.
  • Lead projects when required and develop a strong understanding of the solutions being delivered.
  • Understand ISU Financial, Billing, and Invoicing processes and backend job functionality.
  • Comprehend the treatment of payments and balances within the system.
  • Ensure user satisfaction by providing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of complex issues.
  • Design, develop, and test experimental applications to explore new ideas within bounded cost and time frames.
  • Ensure application processes align with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies, as well as applicable standards and legislation.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems when needed.
  • Define metrics and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for developed systems.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 
Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 6+ years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for specification and configuration of SAP application enhancements and proactive identification of opportunities to use SAP functionality to better support business processes, along with providing end-user support. Individuals will work with project managers, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Managers, and information technology and business representatives to keep abreast of operational issues, initiatives and strategies with a potential SAP impact.

•  Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate for selected project framework

•  Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned
