Position Specific Description

In this position you will work with the Enterprise Architecture Group and the Infrastructure Engineering teams, to develop and maintain the logical and technical reference architectures for NextEra Energy’s IT Infrastructure segment.   You will work closely with appropriate Solution Architects and Chief Segment Architect to ensure there is well planned technology strategy and vendor alignment from carriers (e.g. SDWan, NFV direction, 5G rollout, etc.) through data centers (e.g. routers / switches, load balancers, Internet Proxies, WAN Accelerators, Application Firewall solutions, etc. whether on premises or in the cloud) down to the closet or home remote access solutions (e.g. NAC, Wireless LAN, VPN, etc).  Basically if a packet flows through it, you will provide guidance and play a role in ensuring the appropriate reference architecture and vendor selections are made to support the solutions that depend on the technology.
