Position Specific Description

High Energy Piping Engineer and Welding/Metallurgical Engineer with Principal Level Engineering skills in the following areas:

  1. Stress analysis proficiency with AutoPipe/Caesar
  2. Experience with design and analysis of high temperature piping
  3. Experience with developing condition assessment programs for critical piping systems that are affected by creep, fatigue, and FAC
  4. Experience with pipe support inspections and design
  5. In depth knowledge of B31.1 piping code requirements
  6. Proficiency with life predications for critical piping systems
  7. Proficiency with Grade 91 material
  8. Proficiency with failure analysis and RCA of piping issues
  9. Experience with applying NBIC, Section I, Section VIII
  10. Welding knowledge of power plant piping materials and alternate repair methods
  11. Material and failure analysis expertise
  12. Welding expertise in developing and maintaining weld program and weld procedures/qualifications
  13. Knowledge of industry research for high energy piping and welding for high temperature applications
  14. Knowledge of API-579/ASME FFS-1 fitness for service code and applying for Level 1 & 2 fitness for service evaluations
  15. Experience directing contractors for Level 3 fitness for service activities

Travel requirements for this position vary from year to year but normally do not exceed more than 15% overnight travel.
