Position Specific Description

This position reports to the Senior Manager of the Advanced Cyber defense Center (ACC). This position will work closely with application development teams as part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process to ensure delivery of safe and secure applications across all aspects of the business. The analyst needs to have excellent technical communication skills, a quality/process orientation, and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. As the Principal Cybersecurity Analyst focused on Application Security, the individual must possess the following:


• Experience with Secure Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Assurance Maturity Model (SAMM) process/concepts
• Experience with secure automated application testing/management technologies and tools such as IBM AppScan, Trust Wave AppScanner, SonarQube, and Qualys
• A software development background is preferred, with experience in any of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, .NET, mobile applications
• Ability to communicate and educate development staff on OWASP programs such as the top 10 critical web application security concerns and others
• Familiarity with mobile application development concepts
• Familiarity with N-tier architecture application development process including DevOps
• Familiarity with code reviews, open source projects, and web server security concepts
• Understanding cloud security (AWS/Azure/Google) for infrastructure as a service/service delivery models
• Excellent verbal and written communications as position is also responsible for coordinating and communicating with stakeholders across Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and other Business Units
• Metrics development, policy/standard/procedure development
• High-level process and/or project management


• Drive a culture of secure application development.
• Perform application security and penetration testing using provided tools.
• Review and communicate testing results with development teams and management.
• Develop and track remediation plans for application vulnerabilities.
• Develop and deliver presentations on technical concepts for consumption by all levels of management
• Assist management in development of program roadmaps and strategies
• Maintain existing and establish new program metrics to demonstrate program value to all levels of management
• Ensure continued compliance with all applicable regulatory compliance requirements including NERC CIP and NRC
• Respond to both internal and external audits/auditors as needed


- Position highly preferred to sit out of Juno Beach, Miami is second option

-Candidate must be able to gain Nuclear Access for the position

Job Overview

This job is responsible for designing, implementing, and performing procedures and controls necessary to ensure and protect the safety and security of all information systems assets, including prevention of intentional or inadvertent access, modification, disclosure, or destruction.

•   Implements process and technology-related solutions or improvements, to protect the company from cyber security vulnerabilities and weaknesses
