Position Specific Description

  • Support the Legal Operations team in creating and managing RFPs for outside counsel engagements.
  • Review and manage outside counsel engagement letters and supporting documentation.
  • Draft AFAs (alternative fee arrangement) and scopes of work for outside counsel engagements.
  • Support the preferred counsel program and annual evaluations and renewals.
  • Collect and analyze data to report on key performance metrics with the outside counsel spend.
  • Help ensure outside counsel compliance with established outside counsel guidelines.
  • Technology: high proficiency in MS365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, OneNote) required on day one; will need to learn new software used for legal RFPs, matter management/eBilling, and CLM (contract lifecycle management) on-the-job.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.
  • Prior experience with AFAs, attorney billing, and engagement letters is preferred.
  • Prior experience with PERSUIT and TeamConnect is a plus but not required.

  • Drafts and edits legal documents based on edits and input from corporate attorneys
  • Participates in special projects or activities related to the legal discipline being supported  
  • Performs legal and transaction related research
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 0+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certification
