Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division operates the Center of Work Excellence (CWE) which prioritizes and schedules all work for the wind, solar, and energy storage fleets across the US and Canada.


This position is responsible for valuation, scheduling, analysis, and logistics optimization of wind turbine Major Component (large correctives) work in the wind fleet.  Under limited guidance, the successful candidate will manage day-to-day logistics coordination, strategy analysis, and job scheduling using a combination of our strategy optimization model and ad-hoc analytics.  This position also requires development of new analytics, algorithms, and solutions to continually improve cost effectiveness of our maintenance execution strategy.


Additional Job Duties & Responsibilities


  • Analyze potential work execution strategies to select schedule and resources with lowest cost
  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgement in analyzing, planning, and organizing work execution strategies
  • Manage the schedule and resource assignments for internal execution crews and tooling resources
  • Maintain day-to-day awareness of job status, delays, and changes to adjust work execution plans
  • Coordinate logistics with planning/sourcing groups and field execution leaders
  • Lead daily work status and coordination meetings
  • Lead and support initiatives to develop new analytical tools, processes, optimization algorithms, and software platforms
  • Analyze maintenance execution performance and process data to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities.  Develop Power BI reports to communicate and enable organizational use of the business intelligence.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Additional Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree – Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent
  • Expertise with business and data analytics
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel


Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with IBM Maximo, Power BI, and relational databases (SQL)
  • Visual Basic for Applications programming experience
  • Experience with wind turbine major component replacements
