Position Specific Description

This role has the responsibility of managing a Metering team responsible for reviewing, executing, and validating metering schemes for renewable energy utility scale projects. The Metering Manager will be responsible for all metering activities and certifying all metering project requirements are met.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review PPA documents to ensure metering design meets contractual obligations
  • Reviewing metering designs from substation engineering to validate CT and PT specifications
  • Deciding which projects should be done in-house vs. contracted to metering EORs
  • Managing EOR workloads 
  • Maintaining and improving metering processes
  • Developing troubleshooting guides
  • Developing meter templates to streamline meter program efforts
  • Reporting project status to management
  • Evaluating and awarding metering projects to vendors
  • Developing meter validation techniques 
  • Presenting metering schemes to customers and Business Management
  • Supporting metering commissioning 
  • Innovating new metering techniques to reduce costs.
  • Validating meter data with the Revenue Team

 

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Seasoned manager with metering or substation experience
  • Demonstrates proficiency and working knowledge of peer-to-peer metering schemes
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and additional software knowledge depending on specialization
