Position Specific Description

In this role, the Product Service Engineer will support the design, installation, and software implementation of customized hardware solutions to support our energy management software products. Examples include choosing smart water meter solutions to educate customers on consumption, designing computing hardware to match customer need, and identifying hardware solutions to measure energy consumption in real time. This job is R&D intensive, and candidates should feel comfortable proposing solutions to management along with interacting with vendors across the industry. This is a fast paced, highly cross-functional role with large growth potential, making it a great fit for any candidate looking to support commercial customers and utilities lower their carbon footprint.

Job Overview

Employees in this role are analytical and creative problem solvers with a successful track record handling large-scale, high-profile projects and deadlines. They identify, investigate and resolve complex software issues to ensure applications are performing to customer standards. Individuals will demonstrate technical expertise in software development and data analytics as well as expertise of the broader organization.  This position applies analysis and problem-solving skills along with effective communication to drive customer-facing software application issues to resolution. The ideal candidate is high energy, with the ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigative work to trace the root cause back as a system defect, product enhancement, or change management issue
  • Provide support to customers and interface with software developers when application quality issues arise; prepare corrective action and follow up on implementation and closeout
  • Work with product owners to prioritize system enhancements or issues and participate in Sprint planning and user acceptance testing prior to release
  • Participate in customer and internal conference calls for high-profile cases and escalations
  • Proactively identify issues and driving continuous improvement across the company
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 2+ years
