Position Specific Description
This candidate will play a key role in the Financial Systems Group leading the day to day operations for month end close, master data creation and consolidation activity. They will be responsible for managing team that performs the day to day master data creation/updates. This includes, but is not limited to General Ledger Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Company Codes and WBSs. We need someone that can lead the effort to create metrics so we can easily identify areas of improvement and address timely.
The candidate will be heavily involved in the following activities:
- Managing and refining master data processes for SAP
- Process improvement for support activities
- Analyzing problems/issues related to daily Finance Systems Activities
- Ensuring SOX compliance for all Financial Systems activities
- Building and running key Fin System metrics
- Providing a support model to users on the Financial System processes\
- Other ad-hoc requests
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day master data creation/updates.
- Create new metric to better track progress and areas of improvement including errors on requests from business.
- Create training materials to teach the business how to properly fill out requests to minimize errors.
- SAP
- We're looking for someone with an Accounting designation and an interest in systems and process improvements.
- A successful candidate will be a self-starter, exhibiting initiative and innovation.
Job Overview
This position serves as a consultant, project leader, and subject matter expert on the Company's financial systems. Employees in this role partner with leadership to understand business needs and ensure they are properly analyzed, understood, and supported. This role is responsible for the control and management of the various automation projects impacting the Company as well as the tracking and control of the related budget.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as primary liaison between applicable business units on automation and standardization projects
- Manages all aspects of project implementation from the businesses perspective
- Organizes, schedules, and manages testing and training related to implementation of new initiatives
- Provides guidance on potential new projects to be submitted and manages the submission of new projects
- Ensures automation/standardization efforts address business needs
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: 7+ years
- Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
